Week 15 blog
This week we did two activities, the first activity we did was trying to identify what was in the mystery jars just based on sound. This activity was a lot of fun because we were using different describing features and inferences from sound to try and identify the matching jars. I think this activity would be super beneficial for students because it teaches them how to investigate and use different senses to identify objects.
The second activity we did was a pressure activity, in this activity, we were able to see what happens to a marshmallow when we provide pressure by pushing the syringe in and pulling the syringe out. When we pushed the syringe on the marshmallow it wrinkled up, when we pulled the syringe out the marshmallow expanded. I think this activity is super fun for students because it allows them to see the effects of pressure right in front of them.
Hi Monet! I thought the marshmallow activity with the syringe was really cool because I've never seen that before. I think students would enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHi Monet, I had never explored this concept before so it was fun to read about! Kids would love this activity.
ReplyDeleteHi Monet! I think the activities that we did in lab this week were so much fun and I can't wait for us to be able to bring them into our future classrooms
