Blog post week 4
This week during lab we were able to see the progress of our plants. learning about seed germination and being able to see with our own eyes how the process works is a super cool experience! I can apply this lesson to my future classroom by teaching my students about seed germination and then having them complete this exact lab so they can see the process in action. We also got to see caterpillars during this lab and I was able to apply what we learned in class about the life cycle to seeing the caterpillars in real time.
Hi Monet! I also think its super fun to learn about the life cycles of plants and insects in class, and then watch the actual process take place. I think that these are great ideas to bring into our future classrooms to really involve our students.
ReplyDeleteHi Monet!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciated how you provided a picture of the fast plant that you have been growing in discussion. I find it amazing how we can build our observation skills in such a simplistic way, while also comparing our plant growth to the growth of others. I find that the topics that you brought up in your blog post are easily applicable within the classroom, and help to foster creativity for young students. Great job :)
Hey Monet!
ReplyDeleteSimilar to you, I found it interesting to look at the caterpillars and think back to the prior weeks. I also find it interesting to look at your plant compared to me and my partners. Your plant looks like it is growing faster and fuller. Ours felt a little dry so we think it has been lacking water. I guess we will see how it is keeping up next week!
